HYPER ELASTO is a new technology for future table tennis. This advanced technology is based on TENSOR, and realized very high level of spin performance. The top layer of HYPER ELASTO rubbers is made of natural rubber, which provides excellent capability of spin and special feel of grabbing ball. Also, high level of energy is already integrated by TENSOR. HYPER ELASTO rubbers catch ball as if they breathe he ball in, and then give the ball very strong spin. Everything is effortless, and its feel is also superb. Greatly improved durability is another advantage of HYPER ELASTO, compared to conventional rubbers with built-in tension effect.

BIG WINDOW means improved security and super control. WINDOW represents the safe zone above the net, through which ball has to pass for safe landing on opponent's court, especially when player attacks with topspin. If ball passes over this safe zone, the ball will fail to land, and will go over the end line. HYPER ELASTO focuses on the expansion of this WINDOW. That means that the higher trajectory is allowed for safe return. In other words, the angle of swing or impact can be more flexible. Success rate of topspin attack increases, and mistake decreases. So player can be more confident about his/her own technique, and will be able to try more aggressive table tennis.

CARBO SPONGE shows incomparable energy efficiency due to the insertion of carbon composite into the new structure of rubber sponge. The energy loss during the process of deformation and consequent restoration of sponge is less than that of any other sponge. This means that more energy is transferred to ball during impact. It is a matter of course that speed glue effect shortens the lifetime. But, HYPER ELASTO technology greatly improved the durability and the lifetime of rubber with built-in tension effect. Compared to the lifetime of existing TENSOR rubbers such as OMEGA family, that of VEGA PRO is two times longer, and that of VEGA ASIA or VEGA EUROPE is 1.5 times longer. Because HYPER ELASTO rubbers don't have the fading problem of existing tension rubbers, players may feel even longer lifetime than these values.

All rubbers of XIOM are developed & produced by advanced TENSOR technology which provides built-in tension effect without applying a drop of VOC glue or booster. The latest & the most completed TENSOR technology is TENSOR BIOS. The strong tension effect by TENSOR BIOS is very close to the level which could be attained by VOC glues of old days. No VOC glue is required any more. VEGA series, OMEGA series, ZETA , and ZAVA I are produced by TENSOR BIOS technology. The goals of each family are different from each other. ZEPHYLIUM® is the exclusively weaved synthetic polymer material for XIOM® blades, which has 1.6 times higher tensile strength than Aramid.  It not only improves the ball speed but defines the vibration better. XCARBON is the exclusive name of weaved or unilateral sports carbon fibers specially used for XIOM® blades. Carbon component became the key material to enhance the stiffness and the speed. But depending on the layering and weaving method, carbon fibers can produce variously different properties. XCARBON of the top grade carbon fibers interacts superbly well with the woody character. Inside of a blade or along with other polymer material XCARBON makes the softer feel and the sharper senses than any other carbons.

Sound and vibration is natural characteristics of every structure, and they represents the way of movement of the structure. XIOM has always been trying to apply the modern science on sound & vibration to finding out the fundamental characteristics of blade. ANALYSIS OF SOUND AND VIBRATION
When force is applied to a structure, the structure deforms and restores. The repeat of deformation and restoration is vibration, and the vibration creates sound. So we can find the pattern of deformation by the analysis on measured sound and vibration. Further, the pattern of deformation indicates the natural characteristics of the structure. So this knowledge is applied to finding out the fundamental characteristics of blades, and also to constructing and optimizing new blades. This is VIBROTECH.

REDUCTION OF ENERGY LOSS
During the deformation and restoration of a structure in the first period of impact, a portion of energy dissipates from the structure. The cause of the energy loss is inside damping of the structure. Of course this affects the performance of table tennis blade. But, if the damping is too small, the vibration can be very unpleasant. QUAD TECHNOLOGY & SUPER MATERIALS
Modern table tennis needs speed. To satisfy the needs for speed, many artificial materials have been inserted into plywoods of blades. Carbon fiber or Aramid-Carbon composite fiber is the representative of conventional artificial materials. XIOM had already introduced high power X-CARBON, and then introduced its successor, newly developed ENERGY CARBON. ARAMID CARBON has also been used for proper blades. And now, XIOM proudly introduces more sophisticated technology - QUAD, which is using four layers of fiber materials to realize ideal performance for new era of table tennis.

QUAD is the technology of using two kinds of artificial materials sophisticatedly. Together with surface wood layers, two layers of outer fiber play a role of providing key performance of the blade. And, two layers of inner fiber adjust the overall balance of the blade. As a result, the two different kinds of fibers play their own roles, not diluting the characteristics of each other. ENERGY CARBON or ZYLON is now being used as outer fiber, and soft carbon is being used as inner fiber.

ARAMID CARBON is a composite material. By the blending of soft aramid fiber and hard carbon fiber, very unique characteristics can be obtained. ARAMID CARBON makes the blade quite fast, but not so hard compared to the case that pure carbon fiber is inserted. Also the vibration of the blade is quickly due to the damping effect of aramid fiber.

Carbon fiber is always the best artificial material for table tennis. It is much more efficient than the other materials such as ZYLON, ARYLATE, ARAMID, and so on. Newly developed ENERGY CARBON goes one step further. By reducing the internal energy loss due to inside friction, the overall energy loss by deformation is reduced by about 10% compared to conventional carbon fibers. It makes the blade faster, more sensitive, and even more comfortable than conventional carbon fibers.

HONMASA means that the wood ply was cut through the center of the annual ring of the tree. The grain of this premium wood is regular and beautiful. Only high quality HONMASA can be the Kiso Hinoki monoply blade of XIOM.

XIOM KISO HINOKI series blades are made of extremely high quality Kiso Hinoki wood. Kiso Hinoki is called as "king of woods" for long time. This premium wood is grown in northern Kiso area in Nagano, Japan. From Kiso Hinoki woods which is 250~350 years old, only 20~30% of HONMASA can pass the strict quality standard of XIOM and reborn as table tennis blades. VOC FREE ADHESIVES, PSA, RUBBER CLEANER, AND BLADE COAT
